About the school
School-Lyceum No. 70 opened its doors on 1 September 1990. It is located almost in the city centre and is one of the largest school-lyceums combining classical education with progressive teaching methods. The school has all the necessary facilities.
The school-lyceum has 1,240 students in 42 classes, including 6 specialised classes in science and mathematics and in the humanities. Teaching is in Kazakh and Russian.
The teaching staff numbers 86 teachers, 24 of them master teachers and researchers. There are 18 clubs and sports sections, a student research society and a school parliament.
